What is Capstone?
The Syracuse University Capstone course is essential to my academic journey, providing the skills and framework necessary to tackle real-world digital media communications challenges. This course integrates all the key concepts from previous coursework, enabling me to develop a comprehensive innovation communication plan. By identifying a current issue within my area of study, I create solutions using innovative strategies designed to increase value for a specific audience. The course fosters an entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial mindset and encourages collaboration with peers from different specializations, resulting in a more holistic and well-rounded approach.
Description
-
My Vision Poster will present a clear vision statement, highlight the challenges my Capstone project addresses, and showcase the innovative solution I've developed. Using guidelines from the 101 Design Methods textbook, I'll begin with a concise vision statement, followed by a brief overview of the problem and the challenges faced by key stakeholders before my innovation.
Next, I'll explain how my solution addresses these challenges, supported by guiding design principles from my Innovation Situation Summary. To enhance the presentation, I'll include visuals, narratives, and diagrams, ensuring a compelling and professional format. Citations for all quotes and media will be properly included. The result will be a polished, visually engaging summary of my Capstone that clearly communicates its value.

For SECTION TWO: The Research, I'll include a cover page with my name, the date, and a table of contents listing each appendix.
The first appendix will feature my updated Innovation Situation Summary from Week 6, using methods 4.18 and 4.19 from 101 Design Methods.
Next, in Appendix Two: Sense Intent, I’ll introduce Mode One and summarize my findings, including key data, diagrams, and insights gathered since the Mid-Project Review.
In Appendix Three: Know Context, I'll explore Mode Two, summarizing my research and highlighting critical data and insights that shape my understanding of the project's context.
For Appendix Four: Know People, I’ll focus on Mode Three, discussing my stakeholder research, key insights, and data from the Stakeholder Matrix template.
Appendix Five: Frame Insights will cover Mode Four, where I’ll summarize the research and insights that framed my approach to addressing the project's key challenges.
Finally, Appendix Six will explore Modes Five, Six, and Seven. I’ll summarize how I explored concepts, framed solutions, and developed offerings, supported by diagrams, data, and further insights collected throughout my research.

In SECTION THREE: The Process, I compiled all the diagrams, maps, and charts I created throughout the term, each labeled by type (e.g., ERAF diagram). These visuals, many of which overlap with those in the previous sections, help illustrate key aspects of my Capstone project.
For each homework assignment, I included brief explanations and insights, providing context for how each diagram or map contributed to my understanding of the project. The diagrams remain in their original, raw form, offering a clear representation of my research and problem-solving process.
